Codependency can take many forms. It generally is defined as “excessive emotional or psychological reliance on a partner, typically a partner who requires support due to an illness or addiction.” Commonly, it appears as relationship addiction because the codependent lives in relationships that are abusive or one sided. Emotional abuse, low self-esteem, and the inability to know one’s self are signatures of co-dependency.

When co-dependency is addressed: one has healthy mutually satisfying relationships, better self-esteem and self-worth, more creativity, increased decision making ability, able to think more organized, better family, friend, and work relationships, and able to let go of other’s criticism and judgment.

Our work together will provide insights and clarity to these confusing entwined relationships. We’ll collaborate to identify new choices and cut out old behaviors. I believe knowledge is power and like to empower my clients whenever possible.
